Investment banking, commercial construction and real estate development. Career has been associated with large and small firms with the goal of developing, financing, constructing and delivering needed projects for government, non-profits and commercial owners. Responsibilities include marketing and business development with an emphasis on capital funding necessary for new construction.  Meets regularly with architectural/ engineering firms, bankers, economic development organizations, owners and public officials to properly position his firm for future work.

Have been involved in start up business units for regional firms in Arizona (formerly

Kemper Financial and Norwest Banks), including the acquisition and integration of Citibank of Arizona, United Banks of New Mexico and United Bank of Denver.


Manager of Business Development

Since 1997 have been in charge of business development for 52 and a 25 year old commercial construction firms in Colorado.  Business developed includes federal projects authorized by the General Services Administration (design, build, leaseback), major health care organizations in the Colorado Front Range, private office buildings and attached residential, privatization of student housing and Colorado special districts.


Corporate Planning

Have applied concepts of investment banking in commercial construction, including evaluations of joint ventures, acquisitions, strategic alliances and converting a profit sharing trust to an ESOP, thereby eliminating state and federal income tax liability for a $300 million firm.


Innovative Public/Private Participations

Have continued to develop practices to enhance public and private initiatives in various states, including the use of tax-increment financing (TIF), Certificates of Participation funding, non-profit 501c(3) development and other forms of private and public finance.  Applications of these funding sources are crucial in urban renewal areas, developer districts and non-tax/debt supported public projects.

            Regional contractor specializing in public, health care and developer construction along the Front Range of Denver.  Volume $300 million.

            Super regional bank who acquired other financial institutions in the Rocky Mountain region.  As Regional Manager of Public Finance, was developing new offices in Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona.


Boettcher & Co, Kemper Financial Securities, Del E. Webb Corporation and Kaiser Aetna Land Development Company, Denver, Colorado and Phoenix, Arizona, 1974 to 1991.

            Investment banker, financial analyst and developer for regional investment banking firms, analyst for Del E. Webb in a joint venture with Burlington Northern Railroad (Central Platte Valley in Denver) and McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale.

Community involvement include:  board member of the Adams County Mental Health Agency, the Rocky Mountain Arthritis Foundation, the Aurora Economic Development Council, Colorado Civil Justice League and the Colorado Public Expenditure Council (Daniels College of Business at the U. of Denver, past chair 2005 and 2006).  Other community work includes Anheuser Busch/Northern Colorado Easter Seals, Habitat for Humanity, Colorado Health and Hospital Association, University of Colorado Health Science Center at Fitzsimons, and competition committee member of the Colorado Golf Association.


Professional activities include:  Chair of the Colorado Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) Legislation/Public Affairs Committee, Member if the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP),  Colorado Municipal Bond Dealers Association Board, University of Colorado, Leads School of Business (Colorado Economic Forecast) and Colorado University Real Estate Council, and licensed Colorado Lobbyist.  Formerly licensed as a Colorado real estate broker and commercially rated pilot and past State Amateur Champion of the Colorado Golf Association.
